DRAFT – a lawyer must review before launch
Written in plain words from how Fireville works today. It is not final and not legal advice. Highlighted [BLANKS] must be filled in by the lawyer.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run a marketplace: your phone, profile, addresses, orders, chat, and device signals for fraud checks.
- Your card is held by Stripe, never by Fireville. We don't sell your personal information.
- Sellers get a buyer's name and address only to ship their order.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted.
This summary helps you read the policy; the full text below is what applies.

1.Who we are#
This policy explains how [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“Fireville”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you use fireville.app, our apps and our services. It's part of the Terms of Service.
2.Information you give us#
- Account: phone number (for sign-in codes), username, display name, profile photo or avatar, the games you collect, your confirmation that you're 18 or older and that you accepted the Terms, and email if you give one. If you sign in with Google or Apple (where offered), we receive the email address and basic profile details that service shares.
- Shipping: names and shipping addresses; for sellers, a ship-from address and email.
- Payments: you give your card to Stripe; Fireville only sees the card brand, last 4 digits and expiry. Sellers give identity, bank and tax details to Stripe; Fireville receives the verification result and the limited details needed for payouts and tax forms.
- Seller applications: your answers, shop details and selling history.
- Content and messages: Sparks, photos, listings, reviews, show chat, messages, reports and support conversations.
- Live video: if you host or appear in a show, your video, voice and image.
- Waitlist and promotions: email and phone number, whether you're interested in selling, whether you asked for a launch text, the version or campaign you came from, invite codes, giveaway entries and check-ins.
3.Information collected automatically#
- Activity: shows you watch and for how long, bids, purchases, saves, follows, likes, searches and quest progress.
- Device and safety signals: a random browser/device ID the app creates and your IP address, both scrambled (hashed) before we store them, plus browser type and app version. We use these to stop fake accounts, fake referrals, reward abuse and fraud, for example to see whether a referred friend signed up from the inviter's device or network.
- Cookies and local storage: used for sign-in and your settings; see Cookies & Device Data.
4.Information from others#
Stripe (payment and verification results), carriers and EasyPost (tracking and delivery), people who invite you (your invite link), sellers and buyers (reviews, reports, case evidence), and public sources where needed to check identity or fraud.
5.How we use it#
- to run Fireville: accounts, sign-in, live shows, checkout, shipping labels, payouts, rewards, giveaways and support;
- to keep people safe: fraud and referral checks, moderation (including automated checks of words and photos, with a person making every final decision), enforcing our rules, and investigating cases and chargebacks;
- to communicate: sign-in codes, order and show updates, and notifications you choose;
- to improve Fireville: understanding how features are used and fixing problems;
- to meet legal duties: taxes, record-keeping and responding to lawful requests.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. [LAWYER: re-check before adding any analytics or ad tools.]
7.What other people can see#
Your username, display name, profile photo, account age, level and badges, reviews, Sparks, public shows and what you say in show chat are public. Your phone number, email, address and card details are never shown to other users (except your name and address to a seller you bought from).
8.How we count visits#
To make Fireville better, we count how the app is used with our own simple tool. Nothing is sent to any other company. We note when the app is open (about every 5 minutes, or every 2 minutes in a live show), which items and live shows are opened, and the words typed into marketplace search, along with your account if you're signed in and a random ID your browser keeps. We don't store your IP address or the pages you visit, and the random ID is scrambled before it's saved. Only the owner of Fireville can see these numbers, and only as totals. We keep these records for 180 days, then delete them. We never sell them or use them for ads. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don't count your visits at all.
9.How long we keep it#
- Account and profile: while your account is open, then deleted or anonymized within [90 DAYS] of closing, except as below.
- Orders, payments, payouts and tax records: up to 7 years, as tax and financial laws require.
- Fraud and safety signals, and records of bans: as long as needed to prevent abuse.
- Packing-proof photos and videos: deleted 30 days after delivery.
- Show recordings and video receipts: [RETENTION PERIOD], longer if part of an open case.
- Support tickets: closed automatically after 7 days without a reply from you, then kept for [RETENTION PERIOD].
- Visit counts (see “How we count visits”): 180 days.
- Content reported to NCMEC and its evidence: at least 1 year after the report, as US law requires.
[LAWYER/OWNER: fill in the retention periods.]
10.Your choices and rights#
Change your profile, avatar and notifications in Settings. You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete your account, in Settings → Delete account or get your data. You can also ask for a copy, a correction or deletion through Help → Contact support in the app or by emailing support@fireville.app. We'll check it's you (usually with a code sent to your phone) and reply within 45 days.
Deleting your account removes your profile and content, but we keep records we must keep (orders, payments, tax, fraud and safety records) for the periods above.
Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete and port your data, to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising and certain profiling, and to appeal our decision. You can use an authorized agent. We won't treat you differently for using your rights. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out where the law requires.
11.Children#
Fireville is only for people 18 and older, and everyone confirms they're 18 or older when they create an account. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and never from children under 13. If you think someone under 18 has an account, tell support and we'll close it and delete their information.
12.Security#
We protect data with encryption in transit, access rules on every database table, limited staff access with fresh authenticator codes for money actions, and an audit log of admin actions. No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
13.Where data is stored#
Fireville is for US users and stores data in the United States through our providers.
14.Changes and contact#
We'll post changes here and tell you in the app if they're significant. Questions or requests: support@fireville.app, Help → Contact support in the app, or [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [MAILING ADDRESS].
