DRAFT – a lawyer must review before launch
Written in plain words from how Fireville works today. It is not final and not legal advice. Highlighted [BLANKS] must be filled in by the lawyer.
The short version
- We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings.
- The app makes a random device ID to stop fake accounts and fake referrals.
- We don't use advertising cookies.
This summary helps you read the policy; the full text below is what applies.

1.What we use#
- Sign-in: cookies that keep you signed in securely. Needed for the app to work.
- Settings: local storage on your device for things like light/dark mode, your layout, your game choice, whether you've seen a tour, and seller packing preferences.
- Safety: a random device ID the app creates and sends to Fireville about once a day, with a scrambled network signal, to spot fake accounts, fake referrals and reward abuse.
- Visit counting: a separate random ID in local storage, used only by our own visit counting (see “How we count visits” in the Privacy Policy). It isn't used at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
- Payments: Stripe may set its own cookies at checkout to prevent fraud.
- Videos: Seller School videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
2.What we don't use#
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no other company's analytics tools. Our only visit counting is our own, described above. If we add outside analytics or advertising tools, we'll update this page first and give you the choices the law requires.
3.Your choices#
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you do, you'll be signed out and your settings reset. Blocking sign-in cookies means you can't use your account.
